A short stroll will take you into the village. For longer walks, the Balingup Brook and the Bibbulmun Track run immediately along part of the property fence line.
If you are looking for secluded Balingup cottage accommodation then look no further. Sit back and relax at Chestnut Brook, the perfect retreat for families and couples. The cedar and iron house we call Chestnut Brook Cottage is very private, as the property boundary near the cottage is not actually adjacent to the road. It also has its own entrance driveway completely separate from the main house.
There is outdoor seating in your own cottage garden where you can enjoy a meal or just sit and read or watch the birds. Being away from main roads and neighbouring properties, the Cottage provides the perfect setting from which to appreciate the peaceful, quiet atmosphere of the Balingup hills.
Two separate five acre titles have been combined to create 'Chestnut Brook'. Approximately half the acreage is planted with chestnut trees of varying
maturity, some as old as 60 - 70 years of age. There are also other nut and stone fruit trees, and two small house orchards of various fruit trees.
Due to the abundant wildlife,
our donkeys,
and our sheep
we
do not allow pets.
Each season brings its own unique delights, and has something different to offer our guests: In summer enjoy a swim in the cool clear water of local dams. On one of the warm balmy evenings relax on the balcony sipping your favourite wine while taking in the view.
With autumn, the changing leaves fill the world with colour. Winter brings misty mornings and great weather for bush walking, or maybe the perfect activity is reading a good book in front of the cosy fire.
Spring is perhaps the most
beautiful season, when the grass is lush, nature awakes refreshed, and blossoms abound. Any time of year is a good time for you to unwind at Chestnut Brook.
