Scenic Drive


The drive from Balingup to Bridgetown Jarrah Park, Donnelly River then return to Balingup is a 125km round trip.

Begin at the corner of South Western Highway and Brockman Street, Balingup.  Travel south along the South Western Highway to Bridgetown.  This is a very pleasant drive through the hills and you will pass pine plantations, farmland and some native forest.

Stop at Bridgetown for a bite to eat at one of the many cafes before moving on.  The Visitor Centre in Bridgetown houses the world's only Jigsaw gallery.

From the town centre drive over the Blackwood River Bridge and immediately turn right onto the Brockman Highway toward Nannup.  The Bridgetown Jarrah Park is 20 km along the Brockman Highway on the right hand side.  Here you will find a picnic area and walk trails.  Jarrah, Karri, Blackbutt and Marri trees can be found in the park.

Continue past the Jarrah Park for 1 km then turn left into Sears Road, which will take you to Donnelly River.

Return to Bridgetown via Mockerdillup Road.  Return to Balingup by driving north along the South Western Highway.
